The Tamil Cultural Association of Milton (TCAM) is a federally registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to serving the Tamil community in Milton and Ontario. Originally founded in June 2022 as an informal WhatsApp group called Tamilians in Milton (TIM), TCAM became an officially registered entity in November 2024. The purpose of TCAM is to celebrate and organize various cultural and social activities to showcase Indian heritage and Tamil culture to the community and the next generation.
The Tamil Cultural Association of Milton (TCAM) is committed to preserving and promoting Tamil heritage by organizing cultural and social events that celebrate Indian traditions. A key focus is establishing a Tamil learning center in Milton with support from all three levels of government, ensuring that future generations learn Tamil—one of the world’s longest-surviving classical languages. We also actively collaborate with local and regional non-profit organizations to promote arts, literature, sports, and entrepreneurship.
Our vision is to build a strong support system for Tamil newcomers in the Milton and Halton region, providing emergency assistance, guidance, and integration resources. We aim to engage youth through leadership opportunities, cultural clubs, and networking initiatives. Additionally, TCAM is committed to giving back to the community through various charitable efforts and social engagement programs, fostering a spirit of unity and contribution.
